Only 2 more days until the Dreamcatcher rally!
If you haven’t heard, there is a little something called "The Dreamcatcher Rally" being held this weekend at Ripken Stadium. And if you live near Route 22 in the Aberdeen/Churchville corridor, you may want to invest in some earplugs, as they are expecting over 35,000 motorcycle enthusiasts.
Here is a sample of events for this weekend:
- Meet Mondo, the inventor of the long fork chopper.
- Ride to the Rally with G. Gordon Liddy (“The G Man”) from DC to Aberdeen.
- Radio talk show hosts Ed Norris, Anita Marks and Kirk McEwen on site.
- Talk one-on-one with some of the finest custom chopper manufacturers in the industry and get answers to your questions.
- Have your picture taken with your motorcycle or with one or all of the Dreamcatcher Babes.
- Explore the largest towing capacity trucks and the latest
motorcycle trailers and toy boxes. - See the latest in biker fashions.
- Test your skills! See how fast you can pitch a baseball.
- Get a tattoo to remember the event.
- Visit the Cal Ripken Stadium gift shop for souvenirs.
- Dont forgt your Dreamcatcher Rally t-shirts and other gifts available for purchase at the event.
- Children’s exhibits and games
- Airbrushed Tattoos
- Caricaturist
- Antique bikes
- Great vendors and lots of great food!
Look! Children’s exhibits and games! I wonder if the children’s exhibits will be right next to this:
Proceeds from this event will be going to the Boys and Girls Club. Chances are that there won’t be many kids there. Now, I think that it’s one’s personal choice whether to attend the event with your kids, and I applaud the effort to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club. But I can certainly see how some would be up in arms over an event to raise money for kids parading half-naked women out on stage. How do you feel?

The only earplugs I’ll need will be to block out the blather that’s sure to be spewing from American Hero G. Gordon Liddy’s shoe-polished mustache. Maybe G. Gordon and S. Fred will get together to compare glocks, perhaps taking a few shots at fly balls hit by Billy Ripken; just make sure John Kay doesn’t wander onto the field. –daggermatt
I Attended All 3 nights and it was great! My 65 year old mother went with me.We made memories that will always be dear to my heart.Bikers looks are very deceivng, they are some of the most charitable people you will ever meet. They were also very respectful to my mother. So what a couple of half naked girls were running around, kids can see that every day on MTV or your local beach. It was for Charity and if people are that PRUDISH then turn your head.
Is there a Dreamcatcher Rally scheduled for 2008?
Thanks
