Ripped from the Bloglines! HarfordNow.com stories in the mainstream
This is exactly why HarfordNow.com was created. If you want to have your voice heard, posting at HarfordNow can lead to more exposure, and even resolution, for your issues. This is what makes the internet such a powerful tool. Stacey at Bel Air News and Views wrote an excellent piece today detailing some of the latest Harford causes to get mainstream coverage after gaining momentum on the internet. Be sure to bookmark her blog, as she has a real pulse for what is going on in and around Bel Air.
This morning in the Examiner:
Owner pledges to clean up Fallston dumping ground - The Examiner article about the problems with the mess outside the Fallston Crossing development. Since a Fallston Crossing resident posted this article on HarfordNow in early August, the Aegis and Examiner wrote articles about the problem. Now County Executive David Craig is putting pressure on the lot owners to clean the mess up. This is great news for the residents of Fallston Crossing, and I’m happy that we could help get the word out. Be sure to leave comments of support here and on the Examiner article, and don’t forget to mention where you first heard the story
A second article this morning in the Examiner deals with the truck signs that have been seen around Aberdeen. I think we have seen this before. Matthew Santoni is an excellent reporter, and I know he has been in constant contact with the group behind the signs, so please don’t take this as "HarfordNow accusing the Examiner of stealing article ideas". We are not bitter (well, maybe just a little).

Thanks for the plug. You’re too kind. And thanks for pointing out that Examiner.com story about Fallston Crossing. I had to make sure to post a follow up about that one. Keep up the good work.
I should also thank you for the kudos to our little paper; You’ve got me blushing here. Though I promise I’m not ripping off your blog completely… I’d noticed the truck signs a few weeks ago when I was in Aberdeen covering the Washington St. dedication. You *can* take credit for reminding me to do something on it, however, lest those of us in the traditional media look like we’re falling too far behind! Thanks again for the link and for serving the blog-reading public in Harford County.
Ha ha, no, i know you weren’t ripping us off. Heck, a lot of the stuff I post is based off of your writings. The more exposure on the issues, the better! Keep up the good work Matthew!
Thanks to HarfordNow.com, the Examiner picked up our “little story” about Fallston Crossing and came ot meeting our homeowners had with David Craig. Interesting that we have been able to get in touch with Milton LLC for over a year, with no contact number. Mr. Craig obviously has the magical phone book of all those unlisted in Harford County and got in touch with Euler within hours of the meeting. I’m hopeful that this mess will be cleaned up, but actions speak louder than words. I’m giving it 30 days and nothing happens I’ll be blogging all over the place and calls will be back into the Aegis and the Examiner!
