4th of July Festivities in Havre de Grace to be limited to one day.
Havre de Grace Mayor Wayne Dougherty has broken a stalemate in the city council in favor of holding the Independence Day parade and fireworks on a single day next year, July 5th, 2008. The parade was held days before the fireworks finally this year. More importantly, minutes from the July 16th city council meeting indicate that there may be a move to making the carnival more "kid-friendly". I’m sure this would be much appreciated in the community as violence, and the threat thereof, has marred the celebration over the past few years.

I welcome this as well. I for one do not take my kids to the carnival because of the past violence. I would love to have the opportunity for my family to have fun without the worries of safety.
Ive been a boat owner for years and have a slip in HDG yacht basin…I have been targeted for speaking out about the orginizers of the fourth activities. This event should be done by other operaters than currently do it. The orginizers simply want to feed their egos. This event isnt even monitered by the orginizers…they party on their boat and leave it to the police too that. I am currently being threatened with being thrown out of the marina for speaking up about this and other things by the hdg political machine. Its a sad state of affaires.
I also have had problems with speaking up about the 4th events and other marina problems. I have written extensivily about them in the citizen reports under Marina Mafia in the dagger press and this is a very troubling trend. I to am being thrown out of the marina for unproven allegations supported by dougherety (without bassis or merrit)…yet these same allegations have been disproven by me and a hearing dissallowed. Somthing stinks with that carnival and its surroundings…change its orginizers…change the council. Jim Miller (hdg councilman) recently stated that it was his desire to not have hearings for things like the carnival that are “engraved in stone”…a indication of what value hearings and input have.
Richie you are so full of crap I need high top sneakers! You didn’t even mention the 4th of July until you got the petition signed by your boat slip neighbors askking the city to do something about your flagrant rules violations and specifically your continuous noise ordinance violations. You are constantly trying to make this personal between you and Gere, When all Gere did was keep you in when others wanted you out. Believe me he made more enemies keeping you there, than he would have if he had been the one to put you out. You have been acting like a child starting fires anyplace you can. Instead of just accepting that you screwed up and pissed everyone off until they couldn’t take it any longer, and thats why we got the petition together. That’s why you are out. You are no whistle blower you’re an ass trying to cover up your tracks.

The only truth here is that richie is a bully. He must be used to getting what he wants by threatening people with lawsuits or some other kind of made up horseshit. Havre de Grace refuses to be taken hostage by him or any other outsider who comes around and think they can bully us around. As a matter of fact anybody can go online under Maryland courts, type in Richie Clements, and see all the frivolous lawsuits he has tried to push through, and of course he lost. There are quite a few against him as well. So if you think he wont mess with you, think twice. He’s only using you. When he’s done with you , you will be his next target, And isn’t all this stuff he’s making up about people slander? Can he really get away with just making stuff up about anyone he doesnt like. He is no longer a slipholder at the CYB. because he has no respect for any one. Be ware too all the other marinas in HdG. Dont let him inn .I am personaly talking with all the marinas in own. I’ve shown these websites too them. They have all said they dont want to be involved-hence noone will rent to him.

I have yet to encounter a single person who likes you, let alone agrees with the crap that spews forth from that sewer you call a mouth. NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU THINK!!! I hope next time you allow an unlicensed driver to smack your truck into a parked trailer on a public parking lot they arrest you instead of kissing your ass. It is my sincere hope that you eventually have no where to park your boat and are forced to trailer it and park it out front of your house. Then I will be the first one to call the police to complain about you violating city ordinances by parking a boat on the street. I feel so sorry for your neighbors. I’m actually thinking of sending them condolence cards. And let me clarify something for you Richie…it’s not the topics that you choose to speak up about that give you problems, it’s your asinine opinion’s and that lack of VOLUME CONTROL that make you look like an ass (not to mention your d**n accent).
