From The Meeting Minutes - Aberdeen

The city of Aberdeen does it’s citizens a great service by posting all meeting minutes on it’s website, although they do more to diminish the lag between the actual meeting date and the day they are on the site. Here are some highlights from the July 9th city council meeting:

  • It looks like a new retail and office development will be built on Route 22 near the APG gate. Esitmates by the owners of the land indicate that the paroperty will be able to accomodate 3500-4000 employees.
  • 22 new townhomes are on tap for the Baldwin Manor area. Mayor Fred Simmons thinks that this will continue to help bring up that area.
  • It appears that the property where The Colonel’s Choice used to sit will finally be developed. It’s been an eyesore for years. In my opinion, the city has dragged it’s feet for far too long with this building.
