I would like to voice my concerns regarding two commercial lots located at the corner of Milton Ave. & Route 1 in Fallston. The two lots are the main entry into the Fallston Crossing Subdivision off Route 1 and a negative reflection of our neighborhood.
The lots have not been maintained since the spring of 2005. In April, 2005 our neighborhood representatives called the county and asked that downed electrical lines and deserted trailers be moved from the location and the owners of the property be asked to properly maintain the lots. After repeated calls to planning and zoning as well as the health department the trailers were finally dismantled and pulled from the lots. The lots are currently being used as a dump for asphalt, concrete piping & tires as well as other debris and excavated materials. The car dealership flanking the south side of Milton is actually using portions of the neglected lots to showcase their sport utility vehicles climbing a mountain of debris and gravel. (Very creative!)
After exhausting our efforts at Harford County planning and zoning departments as well as the health department we have contacted many of our Harford County representatives. We have had phone and e-mail contact with Billy Boniface& Roni Chenolweth to express our concerns regarding the dumping on the neglected properties. The only response after months of correspondence is they will keep us informed of their progress or the issue is being researched. RKS commercial realty is currently marketing the properties and refuses to give us the owners contact number.
We are asking as Fallston home owners in Harford County for assistance to resolve this issue. The entrance to our subdivision reflects on our neighborhood and our property values. With Route 1 being a major corridor in Fallston I would hope that the council members would agree that it is an embarrassment to our town. We keep hearing that Harford County will be the recipient of several thousand new residents in the next few years. We have 3 top rated schools less than 2 miles away from Route 1 & Milton Ave. I’m sure we have prospects frequently visiting Harford County schools and neighborhoods. It is not impressive having dumps as a flagship to your neighborhood.
We are requesting that the owners of the lots be held accountable for the clean up and maintenance of their properties and that the Fallston Community Council holds them accountable for illegal dumping while under their ownership.

Thanks for writing about this. I would love if you could take some pictures and either upload them to HarfordNow or send them to us at through our newstips email address. Hopefully the county government will get with it and take care of the mess!
A little research on the MD tax database (SDAT) and MDlandrec.net shows the owners of the corner lots to still be the developers of Fallston Crossings, Milton Avenue LLC. This LLC, according to SDAT, was equal shares Joe Diegert, Michael Euler, Talmadge Simons, and Charles Benfield. Of these, Diegert (dead), Simons (TC Simons), Benfield (Benfield Electric). Which leaves Euler who you may have seen in the paper lately for his backdoor deals with the county going back to Rehrmann. Seems like a sleazy developer paving the county with homes and sub par infrastructure (look at the roads after a couple years) in his developments.
Two addresses given for Milton Avenue LLC are:
4692 Millenium Dr. Ste. 300, Belcamp, MD 21017-1545
P.O. Box 256, 14 E. Jarrettsville Rd., Forest Hill,MD 21050 (this is the old Benfield shops now in Aberdeen)
The attorney listed is Eamonn J.Gordon on 42 N. Main St, Bel Air although this dates back to 2001.
My guess, one or all of the surviving owners is using it as a dumping grounds since they have built out the development or to piss people off due to Euler’s other problems with the county. BTW, he still has friends in many county offices. Maybe photos here and contacting the Aegis to add to their Euler stories. BTW, Simons has had run-ins due to land use and stump storage and Benfield’s DuClaw burned under rumored "suspicious circumstances" (Notice how long it took to settle with the insurance company?)
Good Luck
Does anyone know if Milton LLC & Lin-Mar builders are one and the same? If anyone knows if Milton LLC is a corporation set up by Lin-Mar then possibly we could use the Lin-Mar builder web-site contacts and e-mail address as a forum.
we are sorry to see our town of Fallston having the looks of a ghetto street corner. We hold our elected representative responsiable as they are our advocates. This will be seen come election time. the condition of those lots are not good for anyone including the owners of the lots so it would be in everyones best interest to improve our community!
It seems that any LLC/development involving the late Joseph Deigert and Euler is becoming a mess. Joe did leave a legacy behind but the estate and fellow partners have turned a deaf ear to how the developments that they have a hand in look. They are out for the big bucks and do not care how their properties look. Fallston Crossing residents should be up in arms. Those folks spent a lot of money to have a dumping ground that no one wants to clean up. Maybe the hospital should have stayed. Now for the really pricey venue - check out the entrance to the million dollar residents at Fallsbrooke Manor. The Fallsbrooke Manor HOA owed by the Deigert possee has let the beautiful falls and grounds look like a drive-in for bugs, snakes and rats, which is what the HOA should be called. Look, many people have chosen to live in Fallston and Harford County spending big bucks and big taxes influenced by the developers with what they were receiving for their money. Now is the time for Roni Chenoweth, Boniface and county government to protect the people. We should join together to accomplish this. Why should individuals have to throw money away on lawyers to have the developers perform?
Congrats on the article in the Aegis! it only took them almost 4 weeks. That’s the potential power of the website like this. the word can get out much faster. I hope HarfordNow has been able to help!
This is horrible that our county allows something like this to exist on a MAJOR commuter corridor. The lots need to be maintained to residentil standards, anything less is hypocritical and shows the county’s total disregard for its residents. Congrats on the article, keep up the pressure and this disgrace will hopefully be fixed.
My community, Fallston Valley Farms, is being muscled by Michael Euler. In a nutshell, he, under our noses, got a 2 year permit to “harvest trees” which are right behind our houses. He owns the land given, but he got approved to control this operation in a cul-de-sac of our community. We have 100+ kids in the community; resales value decrease, etc. Heavy equipment will be moving in and out of our community. Any advice for fighting him would be greatly appreciated.
