Aberdeen Ironbirds to host “Women’s Appreciation Night” on August 1st
The Orioles have used pink bats in some of their games to raise awareness for breast cancer. Our own Ironbirds are following their lead:
“Women’s Appreciation Night” will feature a special pre-game question and answer session with IronBirds players from 5:30-6:00 PM. The IronBirds players will use special pink bats during the game in celebration of “Breast Cancer Awareness.” The night will also feature a celebratory stadium-wide balloon release and ceremonial pitches commemorating “Women’s Appreciation Night” at Ripken Stadium.
The bats will be raffled off after the game. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase on July 30th at the games or by caling the front office at (410) 297-9292.
